Links updated - Web heroes worth the mention

Thinkingputty have been dead due to one crazy year at work. No more of that ...will be vissiting the cold island ....well amped and will make more time for the web.

Otherwise Facebook have been dominating the web activity. I have connected with many lost friends and connections which is great socially but bad for productivity.I'll be weaning of Facebook sometime soon...dangerous...time wastage.

So lets get down to business – I found some brilliant and useful sites over the past couple of months that’s well worth the mention. They are all in their own specialist league so I'll give a brief description and leave the rest to you. Here we go > and in no particular order :

UNO DE WAAL - driving the social movement

I have been following dotnet.org for some time and stumbled across this one via all the information . Sir De Waal have been involved in various social networking platforms and he is heading one of the leading online sites /social networks in South Africa.

The website description says it all : "Uno de Waal’s online space covering everything about web2.0, social networks and internet related developments in South Africa and how it fits in with the rest of the world”

FORMFUNCTION - Joey Da Silva - WEB JEDI

Joeye Da Silva have been involved with the web since it began by the sounds of it.I have met him and his wife a couple of times and they have been pushing the envelope well out of bounds when it comes to SEO and webtech. As the guru describes :

" Digital Consultancy: delivering functional websites, applications and business solutions"

ALTERSAGE - Christine Da Silva – SEO QUEEN

I mentioned Joey's wife in form and function...so here's the lowdown on the female side of team Da Silva. She's been involved with the elite SEO and webdev companies around the world and climbed to the top in South Africa. I seriously get scared of people that know so much about this stuff :)

SEO and online marketing at its best...

AGILISTO - Microsoft MVP's taking over I tell thee

I know one of the partners of Agilisto personally and have worked with him some time back. He started the very successful and resourceful dotnet.org somewhere around 2000.Since then he's been one of the web pioneers in South Africa. He's done it all and recently shifted from Microsoft into the RUBY world...

The Agilisto team is focused on social networking platforms at this stage and I'm sure that they are driving most of the bandwagons as we speak.

BUYX ONLINE - The Nolan twins - ready for lift offf

These guys have been burning the internet oil since
3am.They started their exciting and promising ecommerce platform/package not too long ago and no brakes applied since.
I have been playing around using a demo account and I am well impressed . If you ever need to sell your shiz via the web this is it...

MUSED MEDIA – Innovative Creative Masters

The masters. Of Web ,Print Design , hosting and bulk emailing. They really think out of the box and are heading up some amazing new projects that is bound to hit the roof pretty soon. I highly recommend the mused team due to some great personal and professional interaction through the last couple of years…

FEEDBACK FOOD DISTRIBUTION - feeding the needy

I often call the starter lady of this project "Mother Teresa" because of what she’s done and represents.Another great achievement due to her altruistic thinking.

Feedback Food Redistribution is a registered Non Profit Organization, committed to community development in South Africa through food redistribution.

That will have to do for now ...hopefully some of these links will help when needed.
