2005 - Cape Peninsula - Atlantic Seaboard : View from a Piper
One of my work associates was doing hours to complete his pilot license , so he invited me for a flight in a piper. This was quite an experience, not because of the great views, but because it was my maiden flight. - Yes I have never flown before that day aged 26!
We took off from Cape Town international, flew in the direction of Koeberg, over Robben Island, to Landudno - Houtbay and back to the airport. The last part of the flight was flown along Kamps Bay, Seapoint and Cape Town Harbor.
I took great photos of the whole trip - it's amazing to see Slaapstad from above. I recommend a helicopter ride or a trip in an airplane for anyone visiting or planning to stay in Cape Town. The view from above will get the bearings sorted and help familiarizing with the Cape Peninsula.
