Welcome to the 1st WORLD
It's been 11 days since my arrival and things are starting to pick up! UK GPS took 3 days to sync and is all proppa by now. Figuring out the busses and underground is quite a task and I recommend getting lost a couple of times.
I arrived at Gatwick and had to find my way to Wimbledon...well confused for day one but all got better when I got to my mates spot.
I've been doing the rounds and job hunting is in full affect. Plenty employment opportunities compared to SA - but they sure make it tough this side. There is currently a big debate regarding the economic impact that foreigners have on the UK economy. Hopefully this gets sorted quick because it seems that it’s getting all negative for the foreign workforce :(
Other than hunting for the salt mine I've been sightseeing and hooking up with the mates all over. I’ll be updating picasa as I go along !
Some of the places that I've visited so far:
Wimbledon , London Eye , London Bridge , Tower bridge , South bank , the Clock tower , Trafalgar SQ , Putney , Elephant and castle,Islington, Covent garden , Clapham , Fulham ,The Strand , Embankment....
Will keep you posted...remember to keep it loose !
